How a round works

    You get the battle's name, its war and its year. Drop a pin where you think it happened, then confirm it.
  2. The reveal after confirming. The globe has zoomed in on Spain, where a dotted red line runs north-east from the blue guess pin to a crossed-swords marker on the real site. A card below reads 439 km from the site and 607 points, over a strip giving the forces, casualties and duration.
    The answer appears as crossed swords, with your distance and your points. A guess on the battlefield itself scores the full 1,000.
  3. The end of a day: a total of 665 out of 3,000 with Share and Back to today buttons. Below it the History Briefing opens on the first battle of the day, showing its score, a Save bookmark and the start of its forces and casualties.
    After the third round comes the history: what happened, and what historians still argue about.

Hints, if you need them

Each round has three hints. Only the most expensive one you take counts against that round's score.

The same three for everyone

Everyone plays the same three battles on the same date, and a new set arrives at your local midnight. Your streak and stats stay on your device unless you sign in to sync them. You don't need an account to play.

Share your score, not the answers

Share sends a grid of how close each guess landed and your total, and never names a battle.
